NASM Certifications

The NASM Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) certification is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), a nationally recognized third party agency that accredits certification programs that meet and comply with its standards.

The NASM-CPT specialization is based upon the proprietary Optimum Performance Training (OPT™) model, one of the fitness industry’s first comprehensive training systems based on scientific, evidence-based research. OPT takes the guesswork out of program design and helps produce significant and consistent results for clients.

The OPT model was developed to concurrently improve all functional abilities, including flexibility, core stabilization, balance, strength, power, and cardiorespiratory endurance.

The NASM Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) curriculum covers a variety of static and dynamic assessments to identify imbalances in clients. The CEx is an effective four-step process that helps clients and athletes to improve, and ultimately, correct common movement compensations.
